She Knows the Deep
Author. Storyteller. Someone who has stood at the water's edge and finally waded in.
Her Story
From the Shore to the Deep
If you asked me where I feel closest to God, I wouldn't tell you it was inside a church building. I'd tell you it's lying on a paddleboard in the middle of the ocean. Above me is an endless blue sky. Beneath me is an endless blue sea. The gentle rhythm of the water reminds me to stop striving, breathe deeply, and trust the One who created both the waves and me. For years, I thought blue was the color of sadness. Blue was found in tears, hidden bruises, seasons of waiting, heartbreak, and questions that seemed to have no answers. But over time, God began to change what blue meant. Blue became the color of living water. The color of hope. The color of healing. The color of faithfulness. The color of a Bridegroom who never abandoned His bride. *50 Shades of Blue* was born from that journey. This isn't a book about having all the answers. It's the honest story of a woman learning to trust God through life's deepest waters. It's about discovering that His commands are not meant to restrict us, but to protect us. It's about finding freedom from shame, recognizing His grace in broken places, and learning that even our darkest shades of blue can become places where His light shines most brightly. I am a mother, a follower of Jesus, and someone who has learned that healing rarely happens all at once. It comes one step, one prayer, one wave at a time. My hope isn't simply that you'll read my story. My prayer is that somewhere in these pages you'll recognize your own. Because every one of us carries a shade of blue. And I believe with all my heart that God meets us in every single one. Welcome to **The Blue Journey**. I'm so grateful you're here.
Her Faith
Honest Faith for Honest People
Kelly's faith has never been the kind that looks good in a frame. It has been tested, questioned, wrestled with, and — somehow — found to be stronger for all of it. She writes and speaks for the people who have sat in the back of the church wondering if they're the only one who isn't sure. They're not. And she wants them to know it.
"I stopped pretending my faith was tidy. That's when it became real."

Rooted in Austin, Writing for Everyone
Kelly has called Austin home for most of her life. She knows its creeks and its contradictions, its growth and its grief. The city shows up in her writing the way a hometown always does — not as a backdrop, but as a character. But the stories she tells are for anyone who has ever felt the pull of something deeper, wherever they call home.
